...has no grass and ridiculous amounts of palm trees.
These were my first impressions of the state as the sun dawned shortly before reaching Sacramento, and nothing in the 16 hours after that time occured to change this impression.
I do not know how or why palm trees came to be so many in number in a state that does not grow them naturally. I came to the solid conclusion that a mad rich man from Fiji decided, long, long, ago to make himself at home in California and decided to place palm trees wherever he felt like staying for a time.
By the by, Santa Barbara was well loved by the Mad Fiji Man.
I am currently in the tiny apartment of a very kind woman that is a friend of *
AnkaaSummers' mother's. *
AnkaaSummers and I will be staying here, in San Diego, for about 5 days or so to attend the San Diego Comic Con. After that it is off to Anaheim for Disneyland stuffage.
I'll probably report more later (much later), but it is going on 3:00 AM and I have to get up in a few hours as Amanda and I still have several things we have to pick up in the morning before preview night.
If you're going to be at Comic Con and want to meet up, look for the adorable girl wearing the Shadowcat costume from the Astonishing X-Men comics (black leotard and yellow striping). I'll be the large, surly, "raging lesbian" (lol) standing a bit off to the side of her. Go go acting as bodyguard for small adorable females wearing things that leave little to the imagination at the largest gathering of sexually deprived geeks on the westcoast, lmao
